Description

Position Summary - As a Financial Reporting Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reports. Your responsibilities will include gathering, validating, and reconciling financial data, preparing various financial reports, and supporting the CFO and other team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Gather, validate, and reconcile financial data from internal systems, external databases, and third-party providers.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, investment summaries, and off-balance sheet reports, adhering to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Organize and prepare participation loan reports and remittances to investors.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and variances.
  • Provide support to the CFO and finance team in conducting technical accounting research, resolving accounting issues, and coordinating with internal and external auditors.
  • Update and maintain financial spreadsheets and reports with the latest available data.
  • Review and ensure compliance with existing financial policies and procedures.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests and queries from management and external stakeholders.
  • Research and stay informed about financial reporting best practices and industry developments.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, preferably in a credit union or banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP, BSA, and CECL.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Advanced Excel (including knowledge of pivot tables), and Outlook. Previous experience with ProfitStars ALM/IRR Model, E-folio investment reporting and other financial software is preferred.
  • Experience in creating and presenting financial reports, charts, and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • No certifications needed
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Pay Range - $29.00 - 36.00 an hour

Location - Foothill Ranch, CA 92610 (in-office and possibly hybrid once up to speed)
